 The Mid-Atlantic Mustangs would like to welcome our new sponsor Akadema to the program!  Nick Fischer rejoins the Mustangs for the summer! We are very excited to have Nick join us again for the upcoming season. Last year as a sophomore, Nick was one of our leaders on the field and we look for him to step it up even more this summer. As a catcher with a sub 2.00 POP time, Nick can change a game from behind the plate. Not only is he a general on the field, Nick brings a solid bat to our lineup as well. When he's not catching look for him to be a strong utility player for us as well. You can see him during the school year at Loudoun County High School in Leesburg, VA. Brandon Rawe joins the Mustangs for the 2010 season! Brandon is exactly the type of player we look for when selecting our squad. He is a player that projects as both a pitcher and as an outfielder at the next level. With a mid 80's fastball and great command he has the ability to shut down any team he faces. Add to that great speed, an impressive outfield arm and a powerful bat, and you see why we are so excited to see Brandon in a Mustangs uniform this summer. During the high school season you can see him at Grace Academy. Mustangs add 2011 standout Parker Hills! We are very excited to announce that Parker Hills has joined the Mid-Atlantic Mustangs for the 2010 summer season. He is a 2011 grad who will help the Mustangs in many ways. He projects best as a catcher at the next level, which is impressive because he also carries a mid-high 80's fastball on the mound. In addition to his catching and pitching abilities, Parker can flat out hit as well. He is a member of the East Lincoln High School baseball team in Stanley NC. Power hitter Zack Holt joins 17u Mustangs! Zack is the second player to join us from the state of South Carolina and we couldn't be happier. He is a young 2010 grad who can absolutely destroy the ball. When he's not terrorizing opposing pitchers at the plate, look for Zach to bring solid defensive skills to either corner infield spot, as well as give us innings on the mound with a solid low-mid 80's fastball. You can see Zack playing during the school year at Lake City High School in Florence SC. 17u Mustangs add Heritage standout Shane Carrera! Shane joins us from Leesburg, VA and Heritage High School. We are very happy to add his fantastic bat to our lineup. Shane has the ability to hit for a high average with plus power to all parts of the field. He was recently nominated to participate in the Under Armour All American Preseason tournament. Look for Shane to be lighting it up this summer with the Mustangs 17u squad. Spotswood OF Ben Graessle joins 17u Mustangs! Ben joins us from Spotswood High School in Elkton, VA and we couldn't be more excited to have him. He brings a solid arm and great outfield abilities to our squad. Ben can flat out hit as well, displaying power to all fields. When Ben is not patrolling the OF for the Mustangs, look for him to bring his strong arm to the mound and eat up some quality innings for us. 2012 stud Robbie Morris joins Mustangs! Robbie is the first player to join the Mustangs from South Carolina. If he is any indication of the talent down there, we will be recruiting out of the state more often. He is a big catcher with a sub 1.9 POP time as a sophomore! That might not even be his biggest attribute as Robbie has the ability to put the ball deep to any part of any park! Robbie has recently been selected to participate in the Under Armour Preseason All American tournament. Look for Robbie to tear up opposing pitchers this summer with the Mustangs. IMG Baseball Academy player Kirk Dirschl signs with the Mustangs! We are very excited to announce that Kirk Dirschl has decided to play with us for the 2010 summer season. Kirk is currently a junior at the IMG Baseball Academy in Florida. When he's not attending school in FL, he calls NC his home. Look for Kirk to to bring solid defense to 2B and a quick bat to the line-up this summer! Ryan Vickers to play with Mid-Atlantic Mustangs! Ryan joins us from Randleman High School in Sophia, NC. With great pitching ability and college level talent behind the dish look for Ryan to play a critical role in the success of the Mustangs this summer. In addition to his pitching and catching abilities, Ryan brings a big bat to our line-up as well. Mid-Atlantic Mustangs add 2012 masher Brett Johnson! We are very proud to announce that Brett Johnson has signed with the Mid-Atlantic Mustangs! Brett has a powerful bat with the ability to hit the long ball at any park. In addition to his impressive bat, he is a two way player at 1B and on the mound. Brett joins us from St. Anne's Belfield in Charlottesville, VA. Chance DuCharme joins Mustangs! Chance is a 2012 graduate from First Flight High School in NC. He is a coaches dream as he can play anywhere on the field. Rarely do you see a kid that projects at the next level at three positions! He can pitch, and play either MIF or OF. Add his defensive skills and mound presence to an impressive bat, and Chance should help lead the way for the Mustangs all summer long. Jake Barnes rejoins the Mustangs for the 2010 season! We are extremely happy to say that Jake Barnes has decided to join us again for this season. He is a 2011 SS/2B with great hands. Combine his defensive skills with a good bat and blazing speed, look for Jake at the the top of our lineup all season long! You can see him play during the high school season at Annandale High School in VA. Mid-Atlantic Mustangs add 2011 standout Kevin Fortier! The Mustangs are proud to announce that Kevin Fortier is joining the team for the 2010 season. He joins us Apex High School in NC. Kevin is a 3B with soft hands and a cannon of an arm. He also brings a powerful bat to the lineup. Kevin should be catching the attention of plenty of college coaches as the summer season unfolds. 2012 hurler Chris Gallet joins the Mustangs Chris is a 2012 RHP/OF from North Stafford High School that brings a lot to the Mustangs! He can not only bring it from the mound, but can also hold down the outfield with good speed and a solid arm. Look for Chris to help anchor our rotation, while also showcasing his skills in the field. 2013 phenom Hunter Kohn to join Mid-Atlantic Mustangs! Hunter is a 2013 RHP that as a freshman is already throwing low 80s from the mound. He has good command of his fastball as well as his off-speed pitches. Hunter is a member of the North Stafford High School baseball team from Stafford VA. Look for Hunter to eat up a lot of innings on the mound this summer for the Mustangs!
